Today…
Outside my window: Darkness. The reflection of our ceiling fan. Dead plants hiding in the dark.
I am hearing: A PVRed NCIS. Warren waking up and crying every once in a while.
I am thinking: I hope Warren and Xavier sleep well tonight. I shouldn’t have eaten so many cookies. They were delicious. I love being involved with the worship team at church. Also, Jill Krop’s hair is SO not doing well right now.
I am hoping: That I can cook the lamb on Easter Sunday really nicely.
I am wondering: Not much, apparently! So now I’m wondering – is it a problem if I don’t wonder about things?
I am reading: 3 parenting books, the Book of Revelation, and some blogs.
I am improving: My communication skills. I’m going to try to deliver truth with grace, rather than being the stumbling tactless fool you all know and love.
I am wearing: My new favourite T shirt (a hand-me-over from Lara), yoga pants, and other things.
In the kitchen: It’s Thursday already so…Friday – no idea. Saturday – worship BBQ. Sunday – no idea. Monday through Thursday – repeat. I have become the most ininspired cook around. I have survival cooking down to its own little art.
A few of my favourite things: When Warren first sees Xavier in the morning, and gives him such a sweet greeting.
A picture thought: A sign on the pole near Peggy’s place in France. It says “Found Stuffy”. Well sort of. Doudou is the word for whatever comfort object the kid has – blankie, bear, etc.
