So far this week, I’ve already been “that woman” at least twice.  I’ll wear it as a badge of honour.

First, there was the “quick” trip to London Drugs … just the kids and I.  Warren got into the store and got all sorts of ideas into his head, none of which fit with my plan.  And rather than leisurely follow my 2 years old around the store for the afternoon, I took him with me on my plan.  Screaming. Planking. Yelling. And then, inexplicably, walking, chatting, and smiling.  I was “that lady” that got all the looks.  Oh and yes, this was followed immediately by a repeat performance in our parkade, but without the audience.  Warren had decided his daddy was in the storage room and would not follow me to the elevator.  It was an amazing performance, complete with kicking, screaming, and a few full-body toss-to-the-grounds.  Good thing he doesn’t have far to go when he does that!

This morning, I added my own sipce to the spectacle. We stopped at the liquor store for grab some wine.  I had Warren in the stroller, so no hands to hold the bottle and I slipped it in the back of the stroller. That little move motivated the store security guard to follow me around the store till I was done! This complicated series of moves resulted in me carrying Warren football style to the customer service desk to ask where my desired wine was.  And again, he was all smiles and charm at the checkout!

Imagine shopping with TWO of them!! At least right now, all Xavier does is hang out in the baby carrier, looking startled.
