I’m totally looking forward to all of the Christmas celebrations this year. We’re going to miss the Christmas Eve service at Cityview, but instead, we’re going to spend the day with the Barons. This will be my first Christmas Eve with them…every year, we’ve split the difference between our two families, so we haven’t been up on the Coast for it yet.
Tomorrow morning, we’re heading over to Tara and Chris’s place to make perogies in preparation for a Boxing Day meal together. Chris has planned a Polish/Ukranian meal-YUM! Then, the day after, Andre and I are hosting some friends from our Community Group for dinner. That’s my turkey opportunity. Ok. Who am I fooling? I’m in it for the stuffing and the gravy. The turkey is just for flavouring
Amazingly, it’s been a whole 5 weeks with Andre off work already. It’s been totally awesome – I’m having a hard time imagining life without him around! I also haven’t totally figured out the logistics of getting in and out of the house with the kids on my own. I mean ..sure…when Warren’s awake, there’s the ever-loved sport of toddler-herding. But what about the days when they’re BOTH asleep in the car? It’s not like living in a house, where I could just run them in one at a time. I don’t really want to leave either of them alone for the time it would take to go to and from the third floor!
I know we’ve been up to things every day, but it’s a fairly mundane life for us these days. Lovely visiting with lovely friends…church (YAY)….the occasional and not-frequent-enough visit with family…and of course, a LOT of baby-cuddling.
S’all I’ve got!
