Now, I may just be taking liberties because “I can” because “I’m special” because I’m close to popping out a baby, but…

Here are some thoughts.

1. Carole could really use a friend this week and I really want to be that friend. And no excuse seems to be enough for me. I can’t do “I don’t want to travel that far from the hospital” or “I shouldn’t use cleanning chemicals” or “I can’t do a lot of hard work right now” – none of it flies with me. So I’ll talk to you tomorrow, Carole.
If anyone else wants to go be a friend to Carole, speak up.

2. We had a GREAT day today. Warren and I met up with the Barons at a cenotaph in Port Coquitlam. It wasn’t even raining. For some reason, it hit me when the planes did their flyby at the end of the moment of silence. I appreciated all of the effort in that small piece of the ceremony.
After that, Warren and I went to the Lang Family reunion. It’s always nice and good to go, but I missed so many family members. It was not incredibly well-attended this year, unfortunately. I think that’s a shame. We’re blessed to have so much family living in the area. A tradition like our yearly Remembrance Day reunion really does help keep us connected. Even if it feels like a lot of effort, or like we don’t get to know people very well.

3. The Barons (minus Sandrine, who had a dinner to attend) came for dinner this evening. We had roast beast stuffed with garlic. And every bit of dinner was sublime. Absolutely delicious.

4. I think my mom’s coming in the morning to go to Warren’s Dr. appointment with me. I haven’t seem my mom in ages. (That’s RIGHT! Even SHE missed the reunion!) So I’m looking forward to our day.

5. Because you might ask, here.
I’m fine, thanks! Feeling good.
No, no contractions, or any movement for that matter.
No, I don’t know when the baby will come.
No, we don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl.
Sure, I can pretend to try to have the baby on your birthday.
Yes, we’re ready. As ready as can be.
No, we won’t call you when we go into labour. Check our Twitter or call my mother/sister/inlaws/someone else.

See? I’m in a mood. It’s official.

Oh, also:
Has anyone else pondered the resemblance between Hetty on NCIS: Los Angeles and Edna E. Mode from The Incredibles?
